The side window in the driver door must be lowered during the curing time of the adhesive material.

Otherwise the rear window may be pushed outward by the resulting air pressure when the doors are closed.

The areas around the rear window must be masked off with suitable duct tape.

Otherwise there is a risk of damaging the vehicle paintwork when cutting out.

Working on the rear window 

• If the repair is to be conducted correctly, approved materials and tools must always be used.

  The material characteristics of the recommended products affect the results of the work as well as the labor time required.

• Adhesive bonds are a part of the unibody construction. Always exercise particular care when performing work on bonded windows.
