Remove/Install Left Fuel Pressure Sensor - AR07.04-P-0201MNE

Risk of explosion  caused by fuel igniting. Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by fuel spraying out at high pressure Keep all ignition sources out of hazard area.
Do not carry out any work on system when it is pressurized.
AS07.16-Z-0001-01A
Risk of explosion  caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury to eyes and skin caused by contact with fuel. No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking.
Pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers only.
Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove left low-pressure line with service connection, and place to one side with hose connection connected INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Only install upper engine cover after the leak test. AR07.03-P-1121MNE 
2 Release and disconnect electrical connector on left fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B42/2)    
3 Thoroughly clean rail in area of left fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B42/2) NOTES
Absolute cleanliness is essential when working on the high-pressure fuel circuit. Only lint-free cleaning cloths may be used.
Damage will occur otherwise on the high-pressure fuel circuit.
Assembly cleaner

4 Cover connecting point of left fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B42/2) with suitable rag and carefully and slightly loosen left fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B42/2) NOTES
No fuel should flow over the engine.
Damage will occur otherwise.
 
    IMPORTANT Wear oil-resistant, fiber-free gloves lined with rubber.

    SPECIAL TOOL Box wrench attachment, 27_mm Fig 2
5 Unscrew left fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B42/2) from rail and remove INSTALLATION NOTES
Use new left fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B42/2), since the left fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B42/2) is only designed to be screwed in once.
Leaks can occur otherwise.
IMPORTANT Collect exuded fuel using a suitable absorbent rag.
 
    SPECIAL TOOL Box wrench attachment, 27_mm Fig 2
6 Install in the reverse order    
7 Read out and erase fault memory    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04B
8 Inspect fuel system for leaks

WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
9 Perform an engine test run and check engine for proper operation and leaktightness    
10 Install upper engine cover   AR01.10-P-2405MNE
