	Remove/install
1	Remove the coolant thermostat.		AR20.10-P-2461MFC
2	Unscrew the screw (3) and remove the bleed line (2) on the crankcase and place it to one side.	Bolt, filler neck for bleed line to crankcase	*BA01.20-P-1005-03C
3	Seal openings with suitable stop plug.	Set of plugs	Fig 2

4	Release and disconnect electrical connector (1) at knock sensor 1 (A16/1) or knock sensor 2 (A16/2).
5	Unscrew the screw (4) on knock sensor 1 (A16/1)/knock sensor 2 (A16/2).	Bolt, knock sensor to crankcase	*BA15.10-P-1001-02B
6	Remove knock sensor 1 (A16/1)/knock sensor 2 (A16/2).
7	Clean the contact surfaces of knock sensor 1 (A16/1)/knock sensor 2 (A16/2).	The contact surfaces must be free from soiling. Otherwise, knock sensor 1 (A16/1)/knock sensor 2 (A16/2) will malfunction.

8	Seal openings with suitable stop plug.	Record plug	Fig 3
9	Install in the reverse order.
10	Read out and delete fault memory.

	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when Engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the Engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
11	Perform Engine test run and check Engine for proper operation and leak tightness.
