WARNING Injury hazard from pinching and crushing, in extreme cases extremities can even be cut off when caught in windshield wiper mechanism. When working on the windshield wiper mechanism, always switch off the ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (at least 2 m). AS82.30-Z-0001-01A

REMOVING Remove     
1 1K Prepare - component adhesive cartridge   AR67.10-P-1000-12SX

2 Remove detachable parts in area of windshield (1)   AR67.10-P-1050LF 
3 Remove rain/light sensor   AR82.30-P-7800LF

6 Cover vehicle interior in repair area    
WARNING Risk of injury  from cutting wire tearing or becoming hot and from splinters of glass when cutting out bonded windows Wear protective gloves and safety glasses. AS67.00-Z-0004-01A 
7 Cut out windshield (1) with window removal tool   AR67.10-P-1000-11SX 
8 Remove windshield (1) from body with cup suction tools IMPORTANT Helper required.  
INSTALLING Install     
9 Open driver door side window NOTES
Open side window in driver door until adhesive has cured (idle time).
This prevents the windshield (1) from being pressed outwards by the sudden air pressure when the doors are closed.
 
10 Prepare body flange for installation of window   AR67.10-P-1501-01P 
Topical note  General notes about painting the body flange in the glazing area   AH98.00-P-9408-06A
    NOTES
Wear cotton gloves. Ensure that no fingerprints are present in the area of the bonding surface. The bonding surface should be free of dust, oil, grease, wax and other adhesive components or dirt residues.
Otherwise the adhesive force of the glue starts to decrease.
IMPORTANT Use only primer filler approved by Daimler AG:

11 Replace rubber window spacers IMPORTANT Do not yet remove protective foils. AR67.10-P-1000-02T 
12 Align windshield (1) in body opening IMPORTANT Helper required. AR67.10-P-1000-09LF

13 Prepare windshield (1) for installation NOTES

14 Remove protective foil from rubber window spacers    
15 Apply adhesive material NOTES

NOTES
Install windshield (1) within 5 min after apply adhesive.

16 Install windshield (1) NOTES
Move vehicle only after adhesive has dried. Observe the drying time specified by the adhesive manufacturer.
To ensure sufficient strength of the adhesive.
IMPORTANT The hood must be closed.

17 Remove duct tape and cover material from vehicle    
18 Clean area to be repaired
