Risk Analysis

Key steps in the analysis of potential threats to aid in quantifying risk include assessment of the following:

• Relevance-Has this happened before? If so, to what degree (e.g., occurs, isolated, possible)?
• Likelihood-even if not previously seen, could it happen? If so, to what degree (e.g., high, moderate, or low probability of occurring)?
• Impact on stakeholder and/or asset - What is the extent of the impact (e.g., high, moderate or low relative impact)?
