Backup Battery: Installation

  1. Position the backup battery (2) to the EAM (1) and connect the positive battery connector first, then connect the negative battery connector.
  2. Gently insert the backup battery (2) into the EAM (1).
  3. Install the backup battery cover (3).
  4. Install the EAM into the vehicle. Refer to MODULE, EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE (EAM), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Start the engine and check if "Service Required" indicator or message on the Instrumental Panel Cluster (IPC) turns off.
