Function description of multicontour seat, general

The contour and surface hardness of the backrest and the seat cushion of the driver and front passenger seat can be changed individually. This is done by air cushions that can be inflated independently of each other.

The air cushions are installed in the following areas:

Function sequence for adjustment of multicontour seat

The adjustment of the contour and surface hardness of the backrest and the seat cushion of the driver or front passenger seat is performed by inflating and deflating the respective air cushion. By switching on circuit 15R or circuit 15, the multicontour seat pneumatic pump is supplied with voltage. The multicontour seat pneumatic pump ensures the compressed air supply for inflating the individual air cushions. If the maximum pressure is reached in the air cushion when inflating, the multicontour seat pneumatic pump switches itself off.

By turning the corresponding regulation valve in the multicontour seat regulation valve block, the individual air cushions can be filled or emptied independent of one another.
