COMPLAINT
Vehicles with SCR Generation 4: SCR/AdBlue® warning message cannot be reset.
Information: All fault codes in the AdBlue® (SCR) control unit have been processed and corrected; however, fault codes P13DF00 and P300685 remain active and stored in the AdBlue® (SCR) control unit.
CAUSE
The procedure for resetting the SCR/AdBlue® warning message with XENTRY Diagnosis has not been carried out.
Information: Before resetting the SCR/AdBlue® warning message for SCR Generation 4, the AdBlue® system must be in proper working condition and tested.
REMEDY
NOTE:
Do not replace any parts
- Connect the Battery Charger
- Refer to manual AR54.10-D-1127TS for detailed instructions specific to Model 907.
NOTE: Maintaining an adequate voltage from the onboard electrical system battery is crucial throughout the entire work procedure. Insufficient voltage can damage the control units.IMPORTANT: Follow the operating instructions for the charger meticulously.IMPORTANT: Ensure the charger sustains a minimum voltage of 12.5V from the onboard electrical system battery at all times. - Connect the Diagnostic Device
- Refer to manual AD00.00-D-2000-06TS for detailed instructions on connecting the diagnostic device for Model 907.
IMPORTANT: Adhere strictly to the operational steps outlined in the XENTRY Diagnosis.NOTE: Utilize XENTRY Diagnosis version 09/2024 with Add-on 30134 or 12/2024 with Add-on 30113 or later. Verify that you have the latest version and add-ons, as updates are regular. - Reset the SCR/AdBlue® Warning Message using XENTRY Diagnosis
- Navigate through the menu items as follows:
- Quick test view → N118/5 - Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR GEN4) → Special processes → Reset SCR/Ad-Blue® warning message.
NOTE: Ensure all 5 listed processes are completed successfully, indicated by Actual value: "successfully completed". - Complete the Disconnect and Sleep Mode Initiation Procedure
- Disconnect XENTRY.
- Refer to manual AD00.00-D-2000-06TS for the correct procedure to disconnect the diagnostic device from Model 907.
- Disconnect the Battery Charger
- Refer to manual AR54.10-D-1127TS for instructions on safely disconnecting the battery charger from Model 907.
- Turn off the ignition.
- Remove the key.
- Lock the vehicle and wait approximately 15 minutes to allow the CAN bus system to enter sleep mode.
- Post-Sleep Mode Vehicle Start
- After the 15-minute waiting period, start the vehicle.
NOTE: The "starts remaining" message will remain on the Instrument Cluster (IC), but the vehicle will not be in the 5mph derate mode. - Drive for System Self-Test
- Drive the vehicle for 5-10 miles to enable the SCR system to perform a self-test and potentially resolve fault codes.
- Confirm and Erase Fault Codes
- Verify that the "starts remaining" message disappears from the IC.
- Ensure all relevant fault codes are stored.
- Erase the fault memory if necessary.
- Disconnect the Diagnostic Device
- Refer to manual AD00.00-D-2000-06TS for the correct procedure to disconnect the diagnostic device from Model 907.
- Disconnect the Battery Charger
- Refer to manual AR54.10-D-1127TS for instructions on safely disconnecting the battery charger from Model 907.
NOTE: It is not permitted to replace parts or to invoice for material or wage costs under the warranty or goodwill in connection with an incorrectly executed reset of the SCR/AdBlue® warning message with XENTRY Diagnosis.
