IMPORTANT Tolerance for caster: ±30'

Difference, left to right: 30'

Procedure:

  1. Measure front axle level and rear axle level on one side of the vehicle and obtain the specified value of caster (measured via 20° wheel angle) from the table.

IMPORTANT The caster cannot be adjusted but it must be checked to ensure the chassis geometry is correct.

  2. Measure actual caster as part of axle alignment and compare with specified values.

IMPORTANT Compare the caster values determined on both sides of the vehicle and establish whether the permissible tolerance has been maintained.

    IMPORTANTExample:

Level of front axle (FA) 264 mm and level of rear axle (RA) 451 mm = caster value of front axle 03° 32'.
