Location 

The accelerator pedal module (for model 639 (B37/4)) is located in the driver footwell at the front right.

Task 

The accelerator pedal module detects the accelerator pedal position and passes an appropriate voltage signal to the ME-SFI control unit (N3/23) or CDI control unit (N3/28) (for engine 651.9) or CDI control unit (N3/30) (for engine 642.8) or CDI control unit (N3/20) (for engine 642.9).

Body 

The accelerator pedal module consists of a Hall element with integrated electronics.

Function 

The Hall element integrated in the accelerator pedal module detects the actuation speed and the current position of the accelerator pedal at the position of the permanent magnet attached to the pedal axis.
