COMPLAINT

While attempting to update the COMAND or MBUX map data via USB flash drive, the update may not load onto the head unit.

CAUSE

Incompatible USB flash drive

REMEDY

To ensure error-free data transfer, the "Dealer USB memory stick, 64 GB, empty, for COMAND map updates" (part number A1778276600) must be used. This part is available for ordering via the accessories portal, ODUS or through the standard parts ordering process.

NOTE: It is recommended that two USB flash drives are ordered. One drive should be left formatted as FAT32 and the other drive can be formatted in NTFS. When formatting the USB drive the "quick format" option should not be used.
