The current fuel consumption is sent to the trip computer in the instrument cluster (A1) by the ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) in the form of square-wave pulse packages.

The fuel consumption signal is calculated based on this information (e.g. 8 l/h).

One square-wave pulse corresponds to 0.2 l/h.
