Location

The shift pressure control solenoid valve is located on the supporting body of the electric control unit and is pressed against the shift plate valve body by means of a leaf spring.

Task

The task of the shift pressure control solenoid valve is to control the shift pressure depending on the constantly changing operating conditions, such as load and gear change.

Design

The shift pressure control solenoid valve has a snug fit and is sealed towards the shift plate valve body with a gap seal. The contact springs on the shift pressure control solenoid valve engage in a slot in the conductor tracks. Reliable contacting is guaranteed by the spring force of the contact springs.

Function

The shift pressure control solenoid valve assigns a proportional pressure to a current regulated as a function of pressure by the ETC [EGS] control unit (N15/3).
