Location
The sun sensor is located in the left air inlet on the engine hood.
Task
The sun sensor records the intensity and the angle of incidence of the solar radiation on the vehicle. The interior temperature and blower speed are adapted according to the intensity.
In the event of one-sided solar radiation, an adequate temperature difference is set between the left and the right regulated specific temperatures.
The sun sensor data are read in via the AC bus by the AAC [KLA] control unit (N22/1).
