Trunk lid power locking unit, function - GF80.20-P-4122-01T

MODEL 209.3, 211.0

The pivoting striker eye (3) of the trunk lid power locking unit (1) can be pivoted with the bolt (4) (arrow) mounted eccentrically on a gear. The gear is driven by the drive motor (2).

The corresponding end positions (upper and lower end position) are sensed by the power locking switch (S88/14).

The TLC control module (N121) is responsible for actuation of the drive motor (2) and evaluation of the power locking switch (S88/14).

The pivoting striker eye (3) is pivoted to the bottom end position when the trunk lid is opened. When the trunk lid is moved in the "closing" direction via the remote trunk closing function, the pivoting striker eye (3) moves to the upper end position.

When the rotary tumbler of the trunk lid lock arrests in the pivoting striker eye (3), it is pivoted to the bottom end position. The trunk lid is thus completely closed.
