Trunk lid drive unit, function - GF80.20-P-4121-01T
The trunk lid drive motor (M15/2) opens and closes the trunk lid via the drive mechanism. The motion is monitored by the trunk lid/rear door opening angle detection sensor (B24/16). When the end positions stored in the TLC control module (N121) are reached (trunk open or closed), the trunk lid drive motor (M15/2) is switched off.
If a lock-up is recognized because the value of the trunk lid/rear door opening angle detection sensor (B24/16) does not change during the actuation of the trunk lid drive motor (M15/2),
- the trunk lid drive motor (M15/2) is reactuated during the closing operation and the trunk lid is moved back to its initial position.
- the trunk lid drive motor (M15/2) is switched off during the opening operation, the trunk lid remains in its momentary position.
The TLC control modules (N121) is responsible for actuation of the trunk lid drive motor (M15/2) and evaluation of the trunk lid/rear door opening angle detection sensor (B24/16).
A sliding clutch between the trunk lid drive motor (M15/2) and drive mechanism allows manually closing the trunk lid with slight force.
