Tire Pressure Monitor System Reactivation
CAUTION:
The warning system can only operate in a reliable manner if correct tire pressures are set. If an incorrect tire inflation pressure is set, the system will monitor the pressure according to the incorrect value.
NOTE:
Whenever tire pressure has been adjusted, or when wheels or tires have been replaced, the TPM system must be reactivated before it can work.
- Ensure inflation pressure of all 4 tires is set to specification.
- Switch ignition on. The standard display menu will appear in multifunction display on instrument cluster (shows information such as outside temperature and trip odometer).
- Use the scroll forward/back button to select the tire pressure monitoring system.
- Press instrument illumination rheostat and reset button. The display will change to the selection screen with "No" preselected.
- Press the "+" button (Yes) on the multifunction steering wheel. The selection screen with selection "Yes" appears for approximately 2 seconds and then changes immediately to the confirmation screen. Once the engine has been started the system message "Tire Pressure Displayed Only After Driving a Few Minutes" appears immediately.NOTE: Selecting any other button causes the activation sequence to be aborted.NOTE: If activation is carried out when the engine is running, this message appears with a time delay of about 30 seconds.
- After about 10 minutes of driving time the current tire pressures are displayed. The activation process is complete.
