Location  The driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory is located below the seat frame of the driver seat.

Task  - Control of the seat and steering column adjustment via interior CAN as per the requests - Storing the memory settings for seat, steering column, and outside mirror - Control of the easy entry/exit feature These are grouped as follows  : Reading in of sensors and signals, Evaluating input factors, Actuation of components

Reading in of sensors and signals  These input factors are read in via the following connections: Direct line, Interior CAN

Direct line  - Circuit 30 - Tml. 31. The following sensors are read in via direct lines:  - Left ESA switch group (S22) - Hall sensors of the seat adjustment motors - Hall sensors of the steering column adjustment motors.

Interior CAN  The signals of the steering column adjustment switch (S59) are read in by the steering column tube module control unit (N80), placed on the interior CAN (BODY-CAN) and transmitted to the driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory.

Evaluation of input factors   The input factors read in are evaluated by the driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory. The actuation of the motors froerla syesa. t and steering column adjustment takes place via integrated

Actuation of components  The actuation of the components takes place via the following connections: Direct line, Interior CAN.

Direct line  The following motors are actuated via direct lines: - Steering column in/out adjustment motor (M20/1) - Steering column up/down adjustment motor (M20/2) - Driver seat fore/aft adjustment motor (M27/1) - Driver seat height adjustment motor (M27/2) - Driver seat inclination adjustment motor (M27/3) - Driver seat backrest inclination adjustment motor (M27/5)

Interior CAN  The signals for actuating the memory positions of the outside mirrors are transmitted via interior CAN to the left front door control unit and the right front door control unit.

Variants  There are no variants for the hardware of the driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory. The country or left-hand drive vehicle/right hand drive vehicle allocation is software coded.
