The NTC resistor (b) integrated in the charge air temperature sensor alters its electrical resistance in line with the charge air temperature. The ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) applies a sensor voltage of 5 V and evaluates the signal voltage in accordance with the charge air temperature.

NTC means " egative emperature oefficient", which means: the electrical resistance drops with increasing temperature (thermal resistor).

IMPORTANT

The connection assignment (polarity) of connection pin 1 and 2 is random.
