| Task | To perform all brake control functions of ABS and ASR. In the case of ASR the data is exchanged with the engine and if necessary transmission control modules via a CAN data bus. On vehicles with speed-sensitive power steering (SPS, model 140 and 210 only), the control module also incorporates the electronics and control logic required for this. To supply other systems with the vehicle speed signal and wheel speed status signal. To supply the instrument cluster with signals for the following lamps: ABS MIL (A1e17), ASR MIL (A1e22) or BAS/ASR malfunction indicator lamp (A1e48) and ASR warning lamp (A1e21). On the control module version LK55/1 or /2, also with the signal for the brake pad wear indicator lamp (A1e6) and low brake fluid level/parking brake indicator lamp (A1e7) via serial bus or CAN. |
