Heating system heat exchanger function - GF83.20-P-2101-01P

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

Function

The heated coolant flows through the heating system heat exchanger separately for the left and right side.

Coolant flows continuously through the heating system heat exchanger. Depending on the heat output requirement, the control takes place solely through the position of the blend air flaps, by means of the left blending air flap actuator motor (M2/6) and right blending air flap actuator motor (M2/7).

The heat is conducted to the outside via the coiled pipes and fins. This in turn warms the passing air flow, which is directed to the vehicle interior via the various defroster, ventilation and heater vents.
