01M/99-2 GROUP 54 - MODEL 163, NEW VERSION AAM AND IMMOBILIZER: As of VIN A057920, a new AAM (N10) was introduced into production. At the same time, a new immobilizer (N26/4) was also introduced. It is important to note that the new version immobilizer cannot be used with the old version AAM. While this combination may function initially, problems will be encountered at temperatures below 32 F (O C). When replacing only the immobilizer, and the old version AAM is installed, order only the old version immobilizer with the request "Do Not Sub". Once the supply of old version immobilizers is exhausted, the AAM must then also be replaced when replacing the immobilizer. Note that it is necessary to order a programming key whenever replacing an AAM for any reason.
