Test 17: Activation Of Sun Roof Relay By Combination Control Module (Tilt Open)

  1. Using Adapter (140 589 12 63 00), connect Breakout Box (129 589 00 21 00) to combination control module. See Figure. Turn ignition switch to RUN position, measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 55 at breakout box. Press sun roof switch to TILT UP position. Battery voltage should exist for about 25 seconds. If voltage is not as specified, check for power to combination control module. See TEST 16: ACTIVATION OF COMBINATION CONTROL MODULE BY SUN ROOF SWITCH (TILT OPEN) . If TEST 16 is okay, go to next step.
  2. Using fused jumper wire, connect terminals No. 44 and 55 at breakout box. Sun roof should tilt up. If sun roof does not move to TILT UP position, check wiring circuit, tilt up relays and sun roof motor.
