DTC B1207:86 (REAR BODY CONTROL MODULE) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE - WITH TELEMATICS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

Description Error signal received from telematics communication unit
Detection condition
  • The rear body control module (RBCM) detected the following conditions for 3s or more with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).
    • Error signal is received from telematics communication unit even though the collision detection unlock function presence signal received from the rear body control module (RBCM) determines that the function is present.
Fail-safe Not applicable
Possible cause
  • Telematics communication unit connector or terminal malfunction
  • Rear body control module (RBCM) connector or terminal malfunction
  • Short to ground in wiring harness between telematics communication unit terminal 1AC and rear body control module (RBCM) terminal 3R
  • Short to power supply in wiring harness between telematics communication unit terminal 1AC and rear body control module (RBCM) terminal 3R
  • Open circuit in wiring harness between the telematics communication unit terminal 1AC and rear body control module (RBCM) terminal 3R
  • Telematics communication unit malfunction
  • Rear body control module (RBCM) malfunction
