| Detection condition |
- Any one of the following conditions is met:
- CAN communication line malfunction between EPS control module and PCM
- There is a malfunction in the EPS control module.

- DTCs are stored in the following modules. (CAN driver malfunction)
- EPS control module connector or terminals malfunction (See CONNECTOR INSPECTION
.)
- PCM connector or terminal malfunction (See CONNECTOR INSPECTION
.)
- EPS control module malfunction (Refer to EPS CONTROL MODULE INSPECTION
in service information.)
- PCM malfunction (Refer to PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]
in service information.)

| Repeatability verification procedure |
- Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC
.)
- Perform the KOEO or KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION
.)
