DSC Operates Frequently/DSC Does Not Work Correctly [Electronically Controlled Brake System]: Outline

DSC OPERATES FREQUENTLY/DSC DOES NOT WORK CORRECTLY DESCRIPTION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

Description DSC *2 operates frequently
DSC *2 does not work correctly
*2 : The TCS/DSC operation indicator light flashes during DSC operation.
Possible cause
  • Electronically controlled brake unit detects malfunction. (input/output device malfunction)
  • Tire malfunction (4 tires with air pressure, wear condition, or grip level that differ are used)
  • SAS control module installation malfunction (if there is SAS control module installation malfunction, DSC may operate frequently)
  • After replacing electronically controlled brake unit and SAS control module, sensor initialization procedure for DSC related parts is not performed. (if initialization procedure is not performed, DSC may operate insufficiently)
  • ABS wheel-speed sensor outputs error signal
