Inspection/Action Procedure

NOTE: • Depending on the module, after the ignition is switched ON (engine off or on)/main power is switched ON (READY off or on) or OFF, there is a module that needs 30 s to correctly write the calibration data and configuration data.

1. Implement the vehicle control module (VCM) calibration.

Calibration implementation procedure 

• Switch the ignition/main power OFF and wait for 30 s or more.

• Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on)/switch the main power ON (READY off or on) and wait for 30 s or more.

Purpose/reason (possible cause) Calibration error

2. Perform the malfunction diagnosis according to the troubleshooting procedure for the multiplex communication system.

Purpose/reason (possible cause) Communication error in CAN communication line between vehicle control module (VCM) and front radar sensor
Referred service information item MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN)]

3. Replace the 360° view monitor control module/parking assist unit (optical).

Purpose/reason (possible cause) 360° view monitor control module/parking assist unit (optical) malfunction (applicable part cannot be inspected to determine integrity)
Referred service information item 360° VIEW MONITOR CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
PARKING ASSIST UNIT (OPTICAL) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

4. Replace the body control module (BCM).

Purpose/reason (possible cause) Vehicle control module (VCM) malfunction (no other possible possible malfunction considered)
