Diagnostic Procedure

DTC U2005:68 (FRONT BODY CONTROL MODULE) DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step Inspection Action
1 VERIFY FRONT BODY CONTROL MODULE (FBCM) DTCs AGAIN  Yes Go to the next step.
No Go to Step 8.
2 VERIFY DSC HU/CM DTCs  Yes Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.

No Go to the next step.
3 VERIFY PCM DTCs  Yes Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
(See DTC TABLE [PCM (VIN Y)] .)
(See DTC TABLE [PCM (VIN L (WITHOUT CYLINDER DEACTIVATION))] .)
(See DTC TABLE [PCM (VIN M (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION))] .)
No Go to the next step.
4 INSPECT ABS WHEEL-SPEED SENSOR  Yes Go to the next step.
No Replace the ABS wheel-speed sensor, then go to Step 7.

(See REAR ABS WHEEL-SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [AWD] .)
5 VERIFY IF MALFUNCTIONING LOCATION IS DSC HU/CM DEPENDING ON REPEATABILITY  Yes Replace the DSC HU/CM, then go to the next step.

(See DSC HU/CM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [VIN M (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)] .)
(See DSC HU/CM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [VIN L (WITHOUT CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)] .)
No Go to Step 8.
6 VERIFY IF MALFUNCTIONING LOCATION IS PCM DEPENDING ON REPEATABILITY  Yes Replace the PCM, then go to the next step.

(See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [VIN L (WITHOUT CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)] .)
(See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [VIN M (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)] .)
No Go to Step 8.
7 VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED  Yes Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
No Go to the next step.
8 VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED 
  • Are any other DTCs displayed?
Yes Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.

No DTC troubleshooting completed.
