Function Inspection
- Perform the following procedure so that the ambient temperature of the evaporator temperature sensor is close to the cabin temperature.
- Switch the ignition ON (engine on).
- Set airflow volume to maximum.
- Set the temperature to MAX COLD.
- Turn the A/C switch off.
- Set the air intake mode to REC.
- Fully close all the doors and the door glass.
- Leave for 5 min.
- Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
- Switch the ignition ON (engine off).
- Display the dash-electrical supply unit PIDs [EVA_TMP] and [AMB_TEMP_INTERNAL]. (Refer to [ PID/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION in the service information) (Refer to PID/DATA MONITOR TABLE [DASH_ESU] ] in the service information)
- Compare the temperature displays of the PIDs [EVA_TMP] and [AMB_TEMP_INTERNAL].
- If the temperature displays of the PIDs [EVA_TMP] and [AMB_TEMP_INTERNAL]. do not match, perform the procedure from Step 6.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the following parts.
- Glove compartment (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Side wall (passenger-side). (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Connect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)

- Display the dash-electrical supply unit PID [EVA_TMP]. (Refer to [ PID/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION in the service information) (Refer to PID/DATA MONITOR TABLE [DASH_ESU] ] in the service information)
- Compare the measured temperature with the temperature display of the dash-electrical supply unit PID [EVA_TMP].
- If it does not match the measured temperature, perform the resistance inspection. (See RESISTANCE INSPECTION .)
