Side Camera Image Not Clear/No Image On Screen: Notes

NOTE:
  • The image range may differ depending on the road surface conditions and the vehicle conditions. In addition, the side camera cannot shoot images near the front bumper and below the front bumper.
  • Under the following conditions, images captured by the side camera may be difficult to see, however this does not indicate a malfunction.
    • Light from the sun or a vehicle's headlights is reflected off the lens
    • The image area is dark due to low light levels such as in the evening
    • The temperature around the lens increases or decreases
    • Water droplets, snow, or mud is on the lens
  • When all of the following conditions are met, the side monitor is displayed.
    • Ignition switch ON (engine off or on)
    • 360° view monitor switch ON
    • Selector lever at not R position
    • Vehicle speed is less than 20 km/h

Description  
Possible Causes
  • Effects of non-genuine, after-market electrical components
  • 360° view monitor control module B+ power supply circuit malfunction
    • Short circuit to ground in wiring harness between MAIN 200 A fuse and 360° view monitor control module terminal A
    • ROOM 25 A fuse malfunction
    • MAIN 200 A fuse malfunction
    • Open circuit in wiring harness between battery positive terminal and 360° view monitor control module terminal A
  • Connector poor contact or terminal damage
  • Open circuit in wiring harness between the following terminals:
    • 360° view monitor control module terminal M and side camera terminal A (RH)
    • 360° view monitor control module terminal N and side camera terminal G (RH)
    • 360° view monitor control module terminal O and side camera terminal F (RH)
    • 360° view monitor control module terminal P and side camera terminal B (RH)
    • 360° view monitor control module terminal Y and side camera terminal A (LH)
    • 360° view monitor control module terminal Z and side camera terminal G (LH)
    • 360° view monitor control module terminal AA and side camera terminal F (LH)
    • 360° view monitor control module terminal AB and side camera terminal B (LH)
  • Short to ground in wiring harness between the following terminals:
    • 360° view monitor control module terminal M and side camera terminal A (RH)
    • 360° view monitor control module terminal N and side camera terminal G (RH)
    • 360° view monitor control module terminal O and side camera terminal F (RH)
    • 360° view monitor control module terminal P and side camera terminal B (RH)
    • 360° view monitor control module terminal Y and side camera terminal A (LH)
    • 360° view monitor control module terminal Z and side camera terminal G (LH)
    • 360° view monitor control module terminal AA and side camera terminal F (LH)
    • 360° view monitor control module terminal AB and side camera terminal B (LH)
  • Side camera malfunction
  • 360° view monitor control module malfunction
  • Connectivity master unit (CMU) malfunction
  • Center display malfunction
  • Instrument cluster malfunction
  • 360° view monitor switch malfunction
