FOOT-MOTION DETECTION FUNCTION DOES NOT OPERATE DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Inspection		Action
1	PERFORM POWER LIFTGATE (PLG) CONTROL MODULE DTC INSPECTION Perform the DTC inspection for the power liftgate (PLG) control module using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [POWER LIFTGATE (PLG) CONTROL MODULE] .) Are the same Pending DTCs present?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [POWER LIFTGATE (PLG) CONTROL MODULE] .)
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	DETERMINE IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS FOOT MOTION DETECTION SENSOR OR FOOT MOTION DETECTION UNIT Replace the foot-motion detection sensor. (See FOOT-MOTION DETECTION SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) Does the foot-motion detection function operate normally?	Yes	Complete the symptom troubleshooting. (Explain contents of repair to customer)
2		No	Replace the foot-motion detection unit. (See FOOT-MOTION DETECTION UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
