Blower Fan Controller Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Passenger-side scuff plate (See SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Passenger-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Passenger-side A-pillar trim (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Passenger-side lower panel (See PASSENGER-SIDE LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the screw.

  4. Remove the side duct.
  5. Remove the duct.
  6. Remove the auto leveling control module. (Without adaptive front lighting system (AFS)) (See AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  7. Remove the adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module. (With adaptive front lighting system (AFS)) (See ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  8. Disconnect the connectors.

  9. Disconnect the connector.

  10. While pressing tab A of the blower fan controller in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure, lift the blower fan controller to detach tab A of the blower fan controller from the A/C unit.

  11. Lift the blower fan controller and detach tabs B, C, D and E of the blower fan controller from the A/C unit.
  12. Remove the blower fan controller.

  13. Install in the reverse order of removal.
