DTC U3000-97; Radar Performance Malfunction: Notes

DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

Description Radar performance malfunction
Detection condition
  • Blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module internal radar sensor sensitivity is decreased.
  • Blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module internal radar sensor axis is deviated.
Fail-safe
  • Blind spot monitoring (BSM) system is stopped.
Possible cause
  • Rear bumper malfunction (Dirt or foreign material (reflective object) is adhered.)
  • Blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module malfunction (Dirt or foreign material (reflective object) is adhered.)
  • Concavity and convexity on the surface of the repaired rear bumper
  • Blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module malfunction
