DTC U0428-62: DSC HU/Cm Control: Notes

DTC U0428:62 (DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

DTC U0428:62 DSC HU/CM Control
DETECTION CONDITION
  • While the vehicle is driven at 20 km/h or more, the DSC HU/CM cannot determine the steering angle neutral position for 2 min or more.
NOTE:
  • Each time the ignition is switched ON, the DSC HU/CM calculates the steering angle neutral position based on the signals from each sensor and each module.
  • If the vehicle is driven as follows Just after the engine is started, DTC U0428:62 may be output.
    • Vehicle is accelerated rapidly while being steered right or left
    • Vehicle is driven on abnormal road surface such as banked road
      • Vehicle is driven on continuously curved road such as mountain road
      • If the DTC is a past malfunction during DTC inspection, it does not indicate a vehicle malfunction.
FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION
POSSIBLE CAUSE
  • Vehicle is driven just after engine is started (in this case, vehicle is not malfunctioning)
    • Vehicle is accelerated rapidly while being steered right or left
    • Vehicle is driven on abnormal road surface such as banked road
      • Vehicle is driven on continuously curved road such as mountain road
    • Each sensor, module signal error caused by rough-road driving
    • Poor connection at connectors (female terminal)
