MRCC CANNOT BE SET DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Inspection	Results	Action
1	VERIFY ALL SYSTEM DTCs Perform the DTC inspection. (See DTC INSPECTION .) Are any DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	INSPECT CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH FOR MALFUNCTION Inspect the applicable part. (See CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH INSPECTION .) Is the part normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
2		No	Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification. (See CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
3	INSPECT BUCKLE SWITCH FOR MALFUNCTION Inspect the applicable part. (See BUCKLE SWITCH INSPECTION [(US)] .) Is the part normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
3		No	Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification. (See FRONT BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(US)] .) (See REAR BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
4	INSPECT BRAKE SWITCH FOR MALFUNCTION Inspect the applicable part. (See BRAKE SWITCH INSPECTION .) Is the part normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
4		No	Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification. (See BRAKE PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L.H.D. (US)] .)
5	INSPECT ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH FOR MALFUNCTION Inspect the applicable part. (See ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH INSPECTION .) Is the part normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
5		No	Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification. (See ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
6	INSPECT DOOR LATCH AND LOCK ACTUATOR FOR MALFUNCTION Inspect the applicable part. (See FRONT DOOR LATCH AND LOCK ACTUATOR INSPECTION [(US)] .) (See REAR DOOR LATCH AND LOCK ACTUATOR INSPECTION [(US)] .) Is the part normal?	Yes	ATX: Go to the next step. MTX: Go to Step 8.
6		No	Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification. (See FRONT DOOR LATCH AND LOCK ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) (See REAR DOOR LATCH AND LOCK ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
7	INSPECT SELECTOR LEVER FOR MALFUNCTION Inspect the applicable part. (See SELECTOR LEVER INSPECTION .) Is the part normal?	Yes	Perform the repair completion verification.
7		No	Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification. (See SELECTOR LEVER COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
8	INSPECT CLUTCH STROKE SENSOR FOR MALFUNCTION Inspect the applicable part. (See CLUTCH STROKE SENSOR INSPECTION [(VIN 7 & VIN L) (US)] .) (See CLUTCH STROKE SENSOR INSPECTION [(VIN M) (US)] .) Is the part normal?	Yes	Perform the repair completion verification.
8		No	Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification. (See CLUTCH STROKE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [C66M-R] .)
Repair completion verification	VERIFY THAT VEHICLE IS REPAIRED Install/connect the part removed/disconnected during the troubleshooting procedure. Has the malfunction symptom been eliminated?	Yes	Complete the symptom troubleshooting. (Explain contents of repair to customer)
Repair completion verification		No	Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error. (See CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN) MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [(US)] .) If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1. If the malfunction is not resolved, replace the instrument cluster. (See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
