DTC P06DC-00: Engine Oil Solenoid Valve Control Circuit High Input: Outline

DTC P06DC:00 (PCM, SKYACTIV-G) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Engine oil solenoid valve control circuit high input
Detection condition
  • If the PCM detects that the engine oil solenoid valve control current at the PCM terminal 1CK is specified value or more for 4 s with the following condition met, the PCM determines that the engine oil solenoid valve circuit voltage is high.
Precondition
  • Battery voltage: 8-16 V
  • 0.5 s have elapsed after the ignition was switched ON (engine off or on)
  • Engine oil solenoid valve control duty value: 5% or more
Fail-safe
  • PCM restricts engine torque.
Possible cause
  • Engine oil solenoid valve connector or terminals malfunction
  • PCM connector or terminals malfunction
  • Short to power supply in engine oil solenoid valve control circuit
  • Engine oil solenoid valve malfunction
  • PCM malfunction
