DTC P0523:00 (PCM, SKYACTIV-G) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE
| System malfunction location |
Engine oil pressure sensor circuit high input |
| Detection condition |
- If the input voltage at the PCM terminal 1AS is more than 4.7 V for 2 s, the PCM determines that the engine oil pressure sensor circuit is high.
Precondition
- Battery voltage: 8-20 V
- 0.5 s have elapsed after the ignition was switched ON (engine off or on)
|
| Fail-safe |
- Limits the engine torque or the upper limit of the engine speed.
|
| Possible cause |
- Engine oil temperature sensor/engine oil pressure sensor connector or terminals malfunction
- PCM connector or terminals malfunction
- Short to power supply in engine oil pressure sensor signal circuit
- Short circuit in engine oil pressure sensor power supply circuit and signal circuit
