Resistance inspection: Notes

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the engine cover. (See ENGINE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Disconnect the IAT sensor No. 3 connector.
  4. Remove the IAT sensor No. 3. (See INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE (IAT) SENSOR NO. 3 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Place the detection part of the IAT sensor No. 3 in the water and while gradually increasing the water temperature, measure the resistance between IAT sensor No. 3 terminals A and B.
