Crash Zone Sensor Removal/Installation: Notes

WARNING:
  1. Switch the ignition off.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more  . (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  3. Remove the front bumper. (See FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL .) (See FRONT BUMPER INSTALLATION .)
  4. Remove the bolt.

  5. Remove the cover.
  6. Remove the bolt.

  7. Disconnect the crash zone sensor connector. (See CRASH ZONE SENSOR CONNECTOR DISCONNECT NOTE .)
  8. Remove the crash zone sensor.
  9. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  10. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
  11. Verify that the air bag/seat belt pre-tensioner system warning light illuminates for approx. 6 s  and turns off.
