DTC B00A0-81; INVALID SIGNAL TO SAS CONTROL MODULE: B00A0-87; ERROR SIGNAL FROM OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR - DETECTION CONDITION & POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location
  • B00A0:81:Invalid signal to SAS control module
  • B00A0:87:Error signal from occupant classification sensor
Detection condition
WARNING:
  • Detection conditions are for understanding the DTC outline before performing an inspection. Performing an inspection according to only the detection conditions may cause injury due to an operating error, or damage the system. When performing an inspection, always follow the inspection procedure.
  • Error signal is detected between SAS control module and occupant classification sensor
Fail-safe -
Possible cause
  • Occupant classification sensor connector malfunction
  • Open circuit in wiring harness between occupant classification sensor and SAS control module
  • Short to power supply in wiring harness between the SAS control module and occupant classification sensor
  • Short to ground in wiring harness between the SAS control module and occupant classification sensor
  • Occupant classification sensor malfunction
  • SAS control module malfunction
