Front Blower Motor Installation (Auto A/C): Notes

  1. Install the SST (49 B061 015A) to the front blower motor.

  2. Install the front blower motor with the SST (49 B061 015A) installed, to the A/C unit.
  3. Position the front blower motor projection upward and install the front blower motor to the A/C unit.
    CAUTION:
    • To prevent damage to the sirocco fan, install the front blower motor being careful that the front blower motor does not interfere with the A/C unit. Also, another person must hold the front blower motor at the installation position.

  4. To install, rotate the front blower motor cover until a click is heard.
    NOTE:
    • Install the front blower motor cover from the driver-side.

  5. Connect the front blower motor connector as shown in the figure.

  6. Install the front blower motor cooling pipe.

  7. Rotate the SST (49 B061 015A) in the direction shown by the arrow.

  8. Remove the SST (49 B061 015A) from the front blower motor.

  9. Install the air guide.
    CAUTION:
    • Install the front blower case while pressing the dashboard insulator, otherwise the front blower case could be damaged.
  10. Insert the screw into the front blower case.

  11. Connect the air intake actuator connector.
  12. Insert the front blower case in the direction shown in the figure.

  13. Insert and rotating it in the directions of the arrows shown in the figure.

  14. Install the following parts:
    1. Brake pedal (See BRAKE PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Accelerator pedal (See ACCELERATOR PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Airflow mode actuator (See AIRFLOW MODE ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (AUTO A/C) .)
    4. Front heat duct (See FRONT HEAT DUCT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Knee bolster (See KNEE BOLSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Lower panel (driver-side) (See LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    7. Hood release lever (See HOOD LATCH AND RELEASE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    8. Lower panel (passenger-side) (See LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    9. Glove compartment (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    10. Side panel (See SIDE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    11. Front console (See FRONT CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    12. Shift panel (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    13. Selector lever knob (ATX) (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)

  15. Connect the negative battery cable.
