Ambient Temperature Sensor Inspection

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (Refer to NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the seal board upper. (Refer to SEAL BOARD UPPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the front bumper. (Refer to FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL .) (Refer to FRONT BUMPER INSTALLATION .)
  4. Remove the ambient temperature sensor. (Refer to AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Measure the temperature around the ambient temperature sensor and measure the resistance between the ambient temperature sensor terminals A and B.

    • If the characteristics of the ambient temperature sensor are not as shown in the graph, replace the ambient temperature sensor. (Refer to AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
