Solar Radiation Sensor Removal/Installation (Auto A/C): Notes

NOTE:

• When removing the solar radiation sensor, perform the procedure in the posture shown in the figure.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (Refer to NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
2. Remove the following parts:
   1. Glove compartment (Refer to GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
   2. Decoration panel (Refer to DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
   3. Dashboard under cover (Refer to DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
   4. Side wall (passenger-side) (Refer to SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
   5. Front heat duct (passenger-side) (Refer to FRONT HEAT DUCT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
   6. Front scuff plate (passenger-side) (Refer to FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
   7. Front side trim (passenger-side) (Refer to FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
   8. Lower panel (passenger-side) (Refer to LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
   9. Blower unit (Refer to BLOWER UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
3. Press out (1) the tab of the solar radiation sensor from the inside of the dashboard using a flathead screwdriver as shown in the figure.

4. Press (2) the tab using a fastener remover as shown in the figure and press out the solar radiation sensor from the inside of the dashboard.
5. Disconnect the solar radiation sensor connector.

6. Remove the solar radiation sensor.
7. Install in the reverse order of removal. (Refer to SOLAR RADIATION SENSOR INSTALLATION NOTE .)
