Climate Control Unit Removal/Installation (Auto A/C)
NOTE:
- The climate control unit prior to replacement stores the vehicle specification information.
- The new climate control unit does not store any vehicle specification information.
- When the ignition is switched ON after the climate control unit is replaced, the climate control unit reads the vehicle specification information sent via CAN transmission from the instrument cluster, and stores the vehicle specification information.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (Refer to NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Glove compartment (Refer to GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Decoration panel (Refer to DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Upper panel (Refer to UPPER PANEL REMOVAL .) (Refer to UPPER PANEL INSTALLATION .)
- Rear console (Refer to REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Shift lever knob (MTX) (Refer to MANUAL TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [C66M-R] .)
- Selector lever knob (ATX) (Refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Shift panel (Refer to SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front console box (Refer to FRONT CONSOLE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- CD player (with CD player) (Refer to CD PLAYER REMOVAL .) (Refer to CD PLAYER INSTALLATION .)
- Side wall (Refer to SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front console (Refer to FRONT CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the screws.
- Remove the climate control unit.
- Disconnect the connectors.
- Remove the indicator unit from the climate control unit. (Refer to INDICATOR UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Switch the ignition ON and perform the climate control unit automatic configuration.
- Clear the DTCs. (Refer to CLEARING DTC (AUTO A/C) .)
