Diagnostic Procedure

SYSTEM SCREEN NOT DISPLAYED UNMATCHED (VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE) DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step Inspection Action
1 INSPECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER 
Yes Go to the next step.
No Replace the instrument cluster.
(See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
2 VERIFY INSTRUMENT CLUSTER CONNECTOR CONDITION 
  • Disconnect the negative battery cable.

    (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)

  • Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
  • Inspect the connector engagement and connection condition and inspect the terminals for damage, deformation, corrosion, or disconnection.
  • Is the connector normal?
Yes Go to the next step.
No Repair or replace the connector.
3 INSPECT STEERING SWITCH/CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH 
Yes Go to the next step.
No Replace the steering switch/cruise control switch.

4 INSPECT VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE (V/C-MODULE) 
Yes Symptom troubleshooting is completed.
No Replace the vehicle control module (V/C-module).
