DTC B1178:11 (REAR BODY CONTROL MODULE) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

- Rear body control module (RBCM) detects short to ground in trunk lid latch switch circuit with the trunk closed (trunk lid latch switch off).

| Possible cause |
- Trunk lid latch and release actuator connector or terminal malfunction
- Trunk lid latch switch malfunction
- Rear body control module (RBCM) connector or terminal malfunction
- Short to ground in wiring harness between rear body control module (RBCM) terminal 4K and trunk lid latch and release actuator terminal C
- Rear body control module (RBCM) malfunction
