With M-MDS Scan Tool
NOTE:
Use the LDS (laptop PC). The PDS (pocket PC) does not support wheel unit ID registration and monitoring wheel unit ID.
NOTE:
When using the M-MDS scan tool to perform the ID registration, record the initial ID data and verify the data has changed after driving for 10 minutes or more.
- Turn ignition switch to ON position, then turn it back to LOCK position.
- Connect M-MDS scan tool and identify the vehicle.
- After the vehicle is identified, select the following items from the initial screen of the M-MDS.
- Select "BODY", then "TPMS FUNCTION", then "WHEEL UNIT ID REGISTRATION".
- Select "WU_ID REGISTRATION".NOTE: Before driving, record the initial ID data stored in the scan tool, to verify the data has changed.
- Leave the vehicle with the engine off, and wait for 15 minutes or more.
- Verify the TPMS warning light turns ON and OFF in 0.5 second repeat cycles.
- After 15 minutes or more, drive vehicle at a speed of at least 16 mph (25 km/h) for 10 minutes or more. Tire pressure sensor ID registration is complete when the TPMS warning light turns OFF.
