DESCRIPTION
If you encounter a customer concern with "engine stall" and/or "DTC stored", collect the vehicle data (Extended Freeze Frame Data). Use M-MDS "Collect Diagnostic Information" function to create a zip file. Send the zip file to the regional technical operations manager (TOM) by email for root cause analysis and future quality improvement.

- Select the Toolbox tab, Powertrain, and Collect Diagnostic Information in IDS-74 or newer, then select the tick button.
- Set the ignition switch to the ON position, then select the tick button.
- Wait for the operation to complete.
- Select the tick button when the operation is completed.
- Set the ignition switch to the OFF position, then select the tick button.
- Select the Vehicle Identification tab at the top, then select the Close Session tab at the bottom.
- Select Hold (saves recordings), then select the tick button to save and close the session.
- Select the Previous Sessions, then select the tick button.
- Select the session that contains the information, then select the Archive Session button.
- Select the destination, rename as the VIN, then select the Save button.

- Attach the archived session zip file to the email, then select the Send button.
The zip file will be sent to the regional technical operations manager (TOM) for analysis.
This completes the collection procedure. The TOM will contact your dealership if additional information is needed.
