DTC P1288: CHT Sensor Out Of Self-Test Range: Notes

DTC P1288 CHART (MZI-3.7)

DTC P1288 CHT sensor out of self-test range
DETECTION CONDITION 
  • Indicates the CHT sensor is out of self-test range. The engine is not at a normal operating temperature.
POSSIBLE CAUSE 
  • Cold engine
  • Engine overheating
  • Low engine coolant level
  • CHT sensor malfunction
  • Connector or terminal malfunction
