Theft Deterrent System Initialization Procedure: Notes

CAUTION: The initialization must be performed when the BCM is replaced with a new one. If the initialization is not performed, the transition time from the initial mode to the stand-by mode (approx. 20 s) cannot be set, resulting in the possibility of the theft-deterrent system activating immediately due to a mis-operation after an occupant gets out of the vehicle.
